In some cases, an Update with the System Software card will solve the problem.
To Update, turn the Casablanca off.
Insert your System Software card and turn the machine back on.
Choose English when prompted for language choice.
When asked "With an Install, the projects will remain current. Do you want to start Installation?", choose YES. (With older software versions, you will get a screen with a choice of INSTALLATION or UPDATE. Choose Update.)
Follow the prompts to finish the Update.
If the Update does not solve the problem, a full Install should solve the problem. Save all of your current projects, clips, and audio samples to tape before Installing, as the hard drive will be erased.
To perform a full INSTALL:
Turn off the Casablanca.
Insert the System Software card and turn on the Casablanca.
Choose English when prompted for language choice.
When asked "With an Install, the projects will remain current. Do you want to start Installation?", choose NO.
When asked "Do you want to Install and newly set up your hard disk?" choose YES. (With older software versions, you will get a screen with a choice of INSTALLATION or UPDATE. Choose Installation.)
Follow the screen prompts to delete and reformat the drive.
